Jon went to the movies. He had 7 quarters, 2 dimes, 12 nickels and 18 pennies. He lost 36 cents in his seat. How much change does he have now? What coins do you think he lost? Solve and explain in complete sentences!

My answer is 237 cents. I know that because 7 quarters 2 dimes 12 nickels and 18 pennies equal 273. Last I took 36 cents away and counted how many where left.Jhon lost 1quarter 1 dime and 1 penny in his seat.

He lost 3 dimes and 6 pennies.

-.36=2.37
Jon has 2.37 left. I think he lost 1 quarter, 1 dime and 1 penny.
